Amy Anticoli – 4 Year Olds
 
Mrs. Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in French from Wright State University.  Both of her children are Bright Beginnings alumni so she has been involved with the school since 2010.  After years of being a stay at home mom, she began substitute teaching here in 2014 and joined the Bright Beginnings staff full time in the 2015-2016 school year.  She loves being with the kids and being a part of the Bright Beginnings family.  Her interests include spending time with her family, listening to music, watching sports and reading.
 

Karen Benham – Kindergarten Exploration Mrs. Karen has a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Studies from the University of Dayton and a Masters of Library Science from Kent State University. She was a stay at home mom for about ten years and needed “more”.  Each of her three children attended Bright Beginnings – they loved it, so why not her?  She has been teaching at Bright Beginnings for five years – in the four year old class for three years and now with the Kindergarten Exploration students.  Mrs. Karen loves to watch children grow, try new things, become more confident and more independent.  Every day she witnesses growth and sees the pride on their faces when they master a new skill.  Those are the moments she loves!  When Mrs. Karen has down time, she loves to read or hike or find quiet time with a friend.

Gina Elking – 4 Year Olds Mrs. Gina graduated from Ohio State University with BA in Sociology and minor in Human Development and Family Services.  This is her sixth year at Bright Beginnings and seventh year teaching pre-school.  She loves getting to know each child.  “I feel honored to spend time with each of them and help them grow and develop the important building blocks for their future education.”  Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and three sons.  They like to take long bike rides, go hiking, watch movies or just play games at home.  Mrs. Gina also has two dogs she adores!

Cheryl Harrison – 3 Year Olds
 

Mrs. Cheryl has Bachelor degree in finance from the University of Dayton.  The 2017/2018 school year is her third at Bright Beginnings.  However, all three of her children attended Bright Beginnings and had such great experiences.  She is so excited to be a part of the learning, nurturing and fun that occurs here.  When not teaching the 3 year old class or working with our morning A.C.E. students, she enjoys boating with her family and watching her kids play lacrosse.

Mrs. Amy studied communications at Miami University. She has eight years of experience as a mom and caregiver in her home. This is her second year working at Bright Beginnings. After both of her children graduated from Bright Beginnings, she wanted to stay involved with the school.  She loves to travel with her husband and two daughters.  When time permits, she enjoys reading and scrap booking.

Angela Keister – Three Year Olds

This is Mrs. Angela’s sixth year at Bright Beginnings.  Prior to joining the staff at Bright Beginnings, she was a stay at home mom for her four kids.  She is very excited to be in the Stepping Stones class this year.  She believes it is a gift to give kids this extra time to grow developmentally and emotionally before kindergarten.  She loves spending time with her family, photography and watching her kids play sports  Mrs. Angela has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dayton. 

Michelle Reilly – Stepping Stones

Mrs. Michelle has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and has completed many early childhood education training classes.  The 2017/2018 school year is her ninth teaching at Bright Beginnings.  She is excited about being the assistant teacher in the Stepping Stones class this year.  Previously, she was children’s librarian for ten years in the Cooperstown, NY area.  Her favorite teaching moment is seeing the joy on a child’s face when they succeed at something new.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and son and going to movies, crafting and vacationing at Disney.

Joni Sullivan –  3 Year Olds Mrs. Joni is a native of Dayton, graduating from Centerville High School and the University of Dayton.  She has lived in Springboro for the past 17 years.  This is her eleventh year teaching the Kids Morning Out program at Bright Beginnings and her third year with the 3 year old class.  Mrs. Joni has three children of her own.  “I absolutely love children and truly believe that God has given me a heart and compassion for the care and being of His little ones.”
Julie Virtue – Kindergarten Exploration
 
Mrs. Julie has a Bachelor in Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton.  The 2017/2018 school year is her third with Bright Beginnings.  She thinks a crucial component of successful teaching is a willingness (of both the teacher and the students) to learn and try new things.  She enjoys running, reading, gardening with flowers and listening to music of all kinds.

Sarah Wrazen  – Stepping Stones

Mrs. Sarah attended Syracuse University for a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Music History and has a Master of Science in Deaf Education from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has a teaching certificate in Secondary Life Sciences and has taught all different grade levels, ranging from preschool through college level. She also was a teacher of the deaf for almost ten years.  Originally from Orchard Park, NY, Mrs. Sarah, her husband and their two daughters have lived in Springboro for three years.   She loves the outdoors and is involved with her daughter’s Brownie troop.  She teaches Sunday school at First United Methodist and is an active volunteer in her children’s schools.
